2026 Case Pitch Competition: Six Finalist Teams Present Their Work to Independent Judges
A written consulting project demonstrates research, analysis, and recommendations. A live presentation tests something different.
On March 26, six finalist teams advanced to the 2026 Case Pitch Competition, where they presented their consulting work before a panel of judges, clients, and invited guests.
Each team was given twelve minutes to present its recommendations, followed by three minutes of questions from the judging panel.
What made the Case Pitch Competition particularly demanding was that the judges had not previously reviewed the projects.
The presenters could not assume familiarity with the challenge, the organization, or the recommendations. Instead, they had to communicate the value of their work clearly, concisely, and persuasively within a limited timeframe.
That distinction is important.
A written document allows readers to move at their own pace and revisit details. The Case Pitch Competition requires participants to capture attention, explain complex ideas, respond to questions, and establish credibility in real time.
For many participants, the Case Pitch Competition is the moment where consulting work becomes professional visibility.
Why the Case Pitch Competition Matters
The Case Pitch Competition evaluates a different set of capabilities than a written consulting project.
A strong consulting report demonstrates:
- Research
- Analysis
- Problem solving
- Strategic thinking
A strong pitch demonstrates:
- Communication
- Executive presence
- Professional confidence
- Visual storytelling
- Responsiveness under pressure
Organizations rarely evaluate professionals solely on the quality of their analysis. They also evaluate how effectively recommendations are communicated to decision-makers.
The Case Pitch Competition was designed to help participants develop both capabilities and demonstrate their value in a professional setting.
How the Case Pitch Competition Was Judged
Presentations in the Case Pitch Competition were evaluated using a structured scoring framework.
Judges assessed three dimensions:
Content: Participants were evaluated on the quality of their challenge definition, analysis, recommendations, and strategic reasoning.
Visual Storytelling: Judges considered how effectively participants used visuals to communicate ideas and support their recommendations.
Performance and Q&A: Presenters were evaluated on delivery, confidence, audience engagement, and their ability to respond to questions.
Together, these criteria reflected the realities of professional consulting environments where ideas must be both rigorous and persuasive.
The judging framework ensures that the Case Pitch Competition rewards both analytical depth and presentation excellence.
Case Pitch Competition Award Winners
The Case Pitch Competition included two sponsored awards recognizing different dimensions of excellence.
Value Potential Award
Winner: Vinicius Firmino da Silva
This award recognized the participant whose recommendations demonstrated exceptional potential to create value for the client organization.
Power of the Voice Award
Winners: Alvan Mahin, Sabrina Leidesdorf, and Varunika Maheshwaran
This award recognized excellence in communication, presentation effectiveness, and audience engagement.
Both awards were sponsored by the Global Talent Association @ Boston
The winners demonstrated the qualities that the Case Pitch Competition was designed to recognize: strong analysis, clear communication, and professional presence.
From Analysis to Professional Visibility
The Case Pitch represents an important transition in the ConsultPro Accelerator journey.
Developing a consulting project helps participants build expertise.
Presenting that project publicly helps participants build visibility.
Many professionals can perform strong analysis. Fewer can communicate that analysis effectively to decision-makers who are unfamiliar with the work.
The experience provides participants with an opportunity to practice translating complex challenges into compelling narratives for professional audiences.
For employers, educators, and organizational leaders, the Case Pitch Competition offers a unique opportunity to observe how emerging professionals communicate value under realistic conditions.
The Case Pitch Competition and the ConsultPro Accelerator
The Case Pitch Competition is the third stage of the ConsultPro Accelerator pathway.
Participants progress through:
Becoming a Case Consultant
Learning to identify opportunities and engage with organizational challenges.
Making Your Consulting Case
Developing research, analysis, and recommendations.
Case Pitch Competition
Presenting solutions before an independent audience and receiving professional feedback.
Together, these experiences help participants build career capital, professional confidence, and practical consulting experience.
The Case Pitch Competition serves as the bridge between producing strong work and successfully communicating that work to stakeholders.
Looking Ahead
Congratulations to all six finalist teams for their dedication, preparation, and professionalism.
The quality of the presentations reflected the significant effort required to understand organizational challenges, develop recommendations, and communicate those recommendations under real-world conditions.
The next Case Pitch Competition cycle is already underway.
